This fall, Simon Lanngren joined Algorithma as a management consultant intern. We’re thrilled to welcome him back this spring for his master’s thesis and even more excited for him to officially join our team as a full-time employee next fall. Currently pursuing a master’s in Data Science and AI at Chalmers University, Simon brings a unique mix of academic excellence and professional insight. Below, he shares reflections on his time at Algorithma and his future ambitions.

We’re excited to welcome Hampus Hallman to Algorithma! With a lifelong love for computers, Hampus has been drawn to programming since an early age, and his curiosity has only grown over the years. Transitioning into AI felt like a natural step, combining his enthusiasm for technology with a desire to create innovative solutions for real-world challenges. Now at Algorithma, he gets to explore those passions, developing projects that stretch what AI can do in practical, impactful ways.

We’re excited to welcome Jonas Röst to Algorithma! Jonas’s journey to AI was guided by his long-standing love of mathematics, which initially drew him toward engineering. Unsure at first which field to pursue, he eventually chose Industrial Engineering and Management at Chalmers University of Technology. During his bachelor’s studies, he discovered coding, which blended perfectly with his interest in math and problem-solving. This realization led him to pursue a Master’s in Data Science and AI, a decision that set the foundation for his role at Algorithma.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Emely Wiegand to Algorithma, where she joins us as a key member of our AI development team. Emely brings a rich and diverse background, having earned her PhD in theoretical quantum physics, where she honed her skills in complex problem-solving and abstract thinking. Her journey from academia to industry was driven by a growing passion for artificial intelligence—a field she discovered she was most enthusiastic about after transitioning to industry roles focused on AI-related projects.

We are thrilled to introduce Anna Samuelsson, a new addition to our team at Algorithma. Anna’s journey to her current role has been shaped by a lifelong passion for mathematics. This early love for math led her to delve deeply into the subject at university, where she studied everything from abstract algebra to applied mathematics and mathematical statistics. It was during this time that she discovered the potential of AI to apply mathematical principles to solve real-world problems.

Peter's career trajectory defies conventional expectations. With a PhD in physics from Chalmers University, his early research delved into the intricate world of quantum physics. This led to a groundbreaking invention – a novel transistor published in Science in 1998. The evolution of this transistor is now a Q-bit, the fundamental building block in today’s Quantum Computers. However, Peter’s interests extended beyond fundamental research and ventured into the realm of management consulting in 1999.

Embarking on a journey that spans engineering, academia, finance, and data science, Jonathan, with a background in Engineering Physics from Chalmers, found his way to the heart of AI at Algorithma - a company he helped found and whose purpose he helped in shaping.
